Heartfelt toast or speech for a special occasion

Write a warm, personal speech or toast from your own stories, tuned to the occasion, the room and how long you will speak.

Change note: Initial version

Prompt

Write a speech for me to give. It should sound like me speaking, not like a greeting card.

The occasion and person:
- Occasion: {{occasion}}
- Who the speech is about and my relationship to them: {{person}}
- Audience: {{audience}}
- Length: about {{minutes}} minutes when spoken aloud (roughly 130 words per minute)
- Tone: {{tone}}

My raw material:
{{stories}}

Things to avoid (private topics, exes, inside jokes outsiders will not get, etc.): {{avoid}}

Please:
1. Write the speech with a strong, specific opening line, one or two short stories that show the person's character instead of listing traits, a pivot to what they mean to the people in the room, and a clean closing line that leads naturally into a toast.
2. Use only the facts, names and stories I supplied. Do not invent events. If something is missing, put a clear bracketed placeholder.
3. Keep the sentences short and speakable, with natural pauses marked with line breaks, and no tongue twisters.
4. Match the tone I requested. Any humor should be kind and aimed at situations, not at embarrassing the person.
5. After the speech add a 3-point delivery coach note (pacing, where to pause or smile, how to calm nerves) and offer a shorter 60-second version.

Output the speech first, then the coach notes.

Example output

Good evening, everyone. I am Daniel's younger brother, which means I have been following him around for 28 years and he has been arriving late for most of it.

But here is the thing about my brother. Late to dinner, yes. Late to what matters, never.

When I was nineteen, I left my laptop charger at home the night before an exam. I called Daniel. He did not say much. Five hours later he was standing at my door, charger in hand. That is Daniel. He does not make speeches. He just shows up.

So when he told me about Priya, I was curious. When I learned they met on a hike, and she corrected his reading of the map, I thought: finally. Someone who can steer him.

Priya, thank you for making my brother happier, and for being the one person who gets him somewhere on time.

Everyone, please raise a glass. To Daniel and Priya: may you always find your way, together.

**Coach notes:** pause after "never"; smile before the map line; breathe out slowly before you start. A 60-second version is available.

Notes

Supplying real stories and banning invented facts makes the result sound personal and keeps it honest. Read it aloud once and replace any line you would not naturally say.
