Rewrite any text in a different tone

Shift a message's tone, from blunt to warm or casual to formal, while preserving every fact.

Change note: Initial version

Prompt

Rewrite the text below so it sounds {{target_tone}}, for {{audience}}.

Original text:
{{text}}

Current tone, in my own words: {{current_tone}}

Rules:
- Keep all facts, numbers, dates, names and requests unchanged.
- Change vocabulary, sentence length, openings and sign-offs to fit the new tone. Do not just swap in a few adjectives.
- Avoid clichés and filler such as "I hope this email finds you well" or "touch base".
- Keep the length within 15% of the original unless the tone needs more or less.
- Do not add emojis unless the target tone is casual and the original already uses them.

Output format:
1. The rewritten text.
2. Two bullets on the main stylistic choices you made.
3. One alternative opening sentence for people who want a different feel.

Example output

Rewritten text
Hi, thank you again for your patience while we sort out the paperwork. To keep your project on schedule, we would be grateful to have the signed contract by Friday. Without it we are not able to begin, and I would hate for the timeline to slip. If anything about the contract is holding things up, tell me and I will happily help.

Style choices
- Replaced the count of requests with an appreciation line to remove blame.
- Gave the reason for the deadline as a shared goal (protecting their schedule) and offered help.

Alternative opening
"I wanted to follow up on the contract so we can get your project started on time."

Notes

Describing the current tone helps the model know what to undo. For brand voice, paste a sample paragraph of your own writing into the audience field.
