Plan a raise or job-offer negotiation with a target range, word-for-word scripts and answers to likely pushback.
Write a short, professional resignation letter and a handoff plan that protects your reputation and references.
Help me resign professionally.
Role: {{role}}

Ongoing projects and responsibilities:

Write:
1. A resignation letter of 4 to 6 sentences: states the decision and last day, thanks them for something specific, offers help with transition. It must not explain, complain or negotiate. Match the relationship: {{relationship}}.
2. A short script for telling my manager in person or by video, including a reply if they make a counteroffer, and a reply if they ask where I am going.
3. A handoff plan: a table of each project or responsibility, status, suggested owner, documentation needed, and what to complete before leaving.
4. A farewell message for my team (under 100 words) and one for key clients or contacts if relevant.
5. A short list of things to do before leaving: references, personal files, benefits questions, contact details, and what not to do (taking confidential data, venting in writing).
Keep the tone warm and professional. If something in my situation raises legal or contract questions, tell me what to check rather than guessing.Keeping the letter brief and the reasons out of it protects you; the useful part is the handoff plan, which is what people remember. Check your contract for notice requirements first.
